1. Antigen may be bacterially-expressed fusion protein, or baculovirus produced fusion protein or synthetic peptide.
2. Some of it should be soluble in aqueous solution. If soluble only with GST tag or MBP tag that is fine; we can use the insoluble non-tagged form to generate the antibodies and the soluble tagged form for the screening.. Urea should be less that 1M, salt less than 500mM and the sample should only contain non-toxic substances.
3. Protein tags are allowable, but some untagged protein or protein tagged with a different tag must also be available even if insoluble
4. It's concentration should be >0.3mg/ml
5. The minimum total amount needed is 200 micrograms 6) If the antigen goes on the "Hit List" we will need further 1mg of antigen for all the boosts and bleeds that we will need to do.
