Production

In each case we plate out fusions at limiting dilution and guarantee monoclonality only to about 90% confidence limits. We perform subcloning as an additional service.
Deliverables
- Up to five IgG secreting cell lines producing the monoclonal antibody of the required specificity.
- 10 ml of culture supernatant.
- Bank a copy of each cell line for 6 months

Timelines
If successful in the first pass the project will take about 12 weeks from receipt of the protein to shipping cell lines and culture supernantant. If, through low immunogenicity or other technical problems, we are not successful at the first pass the project could take up to an additional 10 weeks but this is rare. Our success rate on the first pass is above 80%. At all times the investigator can cancel the project at no cost.
Invoicing terms
The project becomes invoiceable if we are able to produce a single cell line which tests as positive in the following assays:
For proteins: Western blot & ELISA against the immunogen.
For Peptides: ELISA only against the immunogen.
If no cell lines are isolated there will be no charges.
What we need
For protein targets at least 350 μg of protein soluble in a non-toxic buffer.
For peptide targets at least 2 mg of peptide soluble in a physiological buffer.
Monitoring
An account will be set up on our database from where you will be able to submit details of each project and monitor your projects’ progress on-line using a conventional web browser.
